Methods & Materials: This is a quasi-experimental study with a pre-test, post-test, follow-up design using a control group. The study population consists of all older women with chronic pain referred to hospitals, clinics, and rehabilitation centers in the west of Tehran, Iran in 2017. By using a convenience sampling method, 30 women were selected based on inclusion and exclusion criteria and randomly divided into two matched groups. The intervention group underwent mindfulness group therapy plus aromatherapy massage at ten 120-min sessions while the control group received no intervention. Their pain perception, sleep quality, and quality of life as psychological functions were evaluated at baseline, at the end of intervention and 45 days later. Collected data were analyzed using the analysis of covariance method in SPSS v. 19 software. Results: The mindfulness therapy/aromatherapy massage significantly reduced the pain perception and its components and improved quality of life and sleep quality in the intervention group compared to the control group (P<0.05), and these effects remained stable in the follow-up phase. Conclusion: mindfulness therapy combined with aromatherapy massage improves the quality of life and sleep and reduces chronic pain in older women. 摘要

目的:老龄化是全球健康领域的现象之一。关注老年人的心理和身体状况是非常重要的。本研究旨在探讨正念疗法结合芳香疗法按摩对老年慢性疼痛女性心理功能的影响。方法与材料:本研究为准实验研究,采用前测、后测、随访设计,采用对照组。研究人群包括2017年在伊朗德黑兰西部的医院、诊所和康复中心转诊的所有慢性疼痛老年妇女。采用方便抽样法,根据纳入和排除标准,选取30名女性,随机分为两组。干预组接受正念团体治疗加香薰按摩,每次10次,每次120分钟,而对照组不接受干预。他们的痛觉、睡眠质量和生活质量作为心理功能在基线、干预结束时和45天后进行评估。收集的资料在SPSS v. 19软件中采用协方差分析法进行分析。结果:与对照组相比,正念疗法/芳香疗法按摩显著降低了患者的疼痛知觉及其组成,改善了患者的生活质量和睡眠质量(P<0.05),且这些效果在随访阶段保持稳定。结论:正念疗法结合香薰按摩可改善老年妇女的生活质量和睡眠质量,减轻慢性疼痛。它可以作为一种有效的干预措施,改善老年慢性疼痛患者的总体健康和生活质量。
