Teachers can use ICT in the application of varied and interactive media to help increase students' understanding of social studies materials such as ArcGIS Story Maps which can provide concrete visualization so that students will understand social studies material better. The purpose of the research was to analyze the influence of the application of ArcGIS Story Maps media about the Geographical Location of ASEAN Countries on the understanding of grade 8 students of SMPN 29 Bandung. This research uses quantitative approaches and experimental methods with quasi-experimental design, precisely non-equivalent control group design. Based on the results of the study, it was found that both in the experimental and control classes there were differences in students' understanding in the pre-test and post-test. If the two classes are compared, then in the pre-test there is no difference in understanding between the experimental and control classes with Asymp.Sig. (2- tailed) of 0.939 > 0.05, but in the post-test there is a difference in understanding with Asymp.Sig. (2- tailed) of 0.045 < 0.05. The N-Gain value of student comprehension is 1,622 > 1, indicating that there is a difference in understanding where learning using ArcGIS Story Maps media is more able to increase student understanding than learning with interactive Power Point. 摘要
在当今信息通信技术(ICT)发展的时代,学习媒体的应用正在发生变革。教师可以利用资讯及通讯科技应用各种互动媒体,帮助学生加深对社会研究资料的理解,例如ArcGIS故事地图,它可以提供具体的视觉化,让学生更好地理解社会研究资料。本研究的目的是分析关于东盟国家地理位置的ArcGIS故事地图媒体的应用对SMPN 29万隆八年级学生的理解的影响。本研究采用定量方法和准实验设计的实验方法,即非等效对照组设计。根据研究结果,我们发现实验班和控制班的学生在测试前和测试后的理解都存在差异。如果对两类进行比较,那么在预测中,实验组和对照组在理解上没有差异。(2-尾)0.939 > 0.05,但在后验中与渐进线有差异。(双尾)0.045 < 0.05。学生理解的N-Gain值为1,622 > 1,说明在理解上存在差异,使用ArcGIS Story Maps媒体学习比使用交互式powerpoint学习更能提高学生的理解。本研究建议,社会科学教师可以在社会科学学习过程中开发适合学习需要的ArcGIS故事地图媒体。
