Mamoplastia de aumento e transplante de gordura autóloga: uma alternativa para o
tratamento da hipomastia e pectus excavatum leve - Relato de caso
Pectus excavatum (PE) is a congenital chest deformity, described as a deep depression on the sternum. Autologous fat transplantation has been used for aesthetic purposes, mainly in the face, and recently it became relevant in breast and thoracic surgery. The purpose of the study was to present a case of a mild PE associated with hypomastia. A 24-year-old woman presented for consultation for breast augmentation due to hypomastia, but the clinical exam also revealed an associated mild PE that was not perceived by the patient. Surgical planning included subglandular breast augmentation and autologous fat transfer. A 260ml silicone-filled breast implant was used, and a total amount of 250ml of fat was injected. There were no complications during the 12-months follow-up period. The association of breast augmentation and fat transplantation to treat PE deformity was revealed as a minimally invasive, good, and safe option with high satisfaction by the patient. ■ ABSTRACT
