For a single machine infinite bus (SMIB) power system, TCSC and Power System Stabilizer (PSS) together assures the small signal stability by using simulated annealing algorithm. Lyapunov synthesis provides guarantee regarding the stability of interval type-2 fuzzy logic control systems. The membership function used is of Gaussian type for input, output variables of fuzzy logic controller.
