Message from social networking workshop chairs

The use of social networks and analytics is now a critical component of many emerging applications. Further progress in this field will necessarily emanate from a melding of ideas in diverse fields, including, computer science, engineering, social, behavioral and economic sciences, physics, and biological sciences. This workshop brings together academic, R&D, and industry researchers from these disciplines to address both the science and engineering challenges associated with this rapidly evolving field. We believe the workshop will set up an impactful platform to address the above need.
