Darbuotojų asmeninių vertybių reikšmė pasitenkinimui darbu
There is a tendency for an organisation to define its values, which predetermines its behaviour to reach certain goals (mission). However, together with organisational values, personal values usually exist. In an ideal case, these personal values are similar to organisational values. However, ideal cases are rare, so in this article, the link between personal values and job satisfaction is analysed. The importance of personal values for job satisfaction in a representative sample of working people in Lithuania was assessed. The results of data analysis showed that higher job satisfaction was preconditioned by higher education, more expressed (more important) security, self-direction, and personal values achievement types. Lower job satisfaction was preconditioned by more expressed (more important) power type of personal values. Also, this article discusses what is important for these types of personal values in professional and personal life, and their importance in professional activities is also discussed.
