Análisis espacial del desarrollo económico rural a nivel territorial

This paper describes some of the methodological approaches used in the research work done for the Doctoral Thesis of J. Calzadilla, Spatial econometric model analysis of economic development in rural territories. By the utilization of selected indexes for the territorial description of the social and economic factors, the rural population and employment are modelled by linear expressions, which are analysed by spatial regression, and the model error is represented geographically by choropleths over the Spanish provinces map. This spatial analysis provides a mean to explore how the social and economical factors impact the rural development, and the development policies.
