Polytherapy with Reserpine and Glucagon-like Peptide-1 (GLP-1) Improves the Symptoms in Streptozotocin-Induced Type-1 Diabetic Mice by Reducing Inflammation and Inducting Beta Cell Regeneration
The present study investigated the effects of a polytherapy with Glucagon-like Peptide-1 (GLP-1) and the Vesicular Monoamine Transporter (VMAT) inhibitor reserpine on Streptozotocin (STZ)-induced type 1 diabetic mice. Methods: Experimental diabetes was induced in C57BL/6 mice by STZ. Reserpine and GLP-1 were applied intraperitoneally as polyor monotherapy.
