化学是一门中心科学。然而，公众对化学的认识需要提高，偏见需要减少。化学科普是一项长期、复杂、艰巨的社会教育工程，对促进社会和谐、提高人民生活质量具有重要意义。本文总结了中国化学科普工作的现状，提出了提高公众参与度、培养科普人才、开展多层次科普教育、创作优质科普作品、开拓化学科普工作新阵地、新途径的创新发展对策。本文对广大科普工作者有一定的参考价值。
