The article is devoted to the problem of phenomenological narration. The subject of the study are the concepts of "phenomenological novel", "phenomenological prose", "phenomenological narrative". The authors of the work substantiate the presence of phenomenological tendencies in G. Gazdanov's prose. Particular attention is paid to studying the genre of "novel about the artist" in G.
