DISECCIÓN CORONARIA ESPONTANEA EN PACIENTE FUMADOR
Coronary dissection is a tear of the layers in the coronary arteries. The incidence is 0.07% to 1.1% in cardiac catheterization. It is a rare disease in postpar tum women, with few reports in men. The etiology of this disease remains unclear; this case presents a smoker without other risk factor. Therefore, we review the endothelial damage that smoking causes and the pathophysiology of coronary dissection. It also presents the clinical, transthoracic echo and coronary angiography findings, and medical treatment.
