Possibilities of using information technologies for high-quality monitoring of higher education and modernization of the educational process in higher education institutions have been clarified. The information support of a higher education institution consists in the selection and appropriate treatment of information that characterizes the state of the educational system. The main functions performed by the system of information support of monitoring and management of the quality of education in the institution of higher education and the main components of information are highlighted.
