The article is devoted to the study of the English modernist text in the categorical focus of communicative linguistics. Based on the understanding of the dialogical nature of humanitarian knowledge (according to M.M. Bakhtin) and the dialogical model of the text (according to E.A. Selivanova) the given article highlights author's module, text module, reader's module, which create new texts ans senses (megatext – according to I.M. Kolegaeva). In our dialogical model of the English modernist text the addresser module (the English modernist author) includes the features of his consciousness, the continuum of mental and emotional processes, the scale of involvement in the work of the collective subconscious and the complex of archetypes that are manifested in the language system of his texts. Using the terms of text linguistics and linguistic stylistics, we can represent these elements of the addressee's module as the idiostyle and language code of the author. It is important to consider the concepts of intention and intentionality of the text at the intersection of the author's modules and the text. Also in the text module, we consider thematic-ideological, symbolic, figurative space and naration. An important element of the communicative-pragmatic scheme of relations between the author of an English modernist text and the reader is the strategic-tactical program for the implementation of such relations. The module of a modernist text assumes an internal dialogicity, which manifests itself in recursive connections with the past tradition, previous texts, the semiotic universe, and procursive connections, which are the basis for creating a new cultural tradition and dialogue with the future text. Regarding the dialogue with the addressee, the text encourages him to self-reflection, and, as a result, to generate new meanings and his own interpretations.
