Usually displace dorsally. Carpometacarpal joint dislocation usually occurs in polytrauma patients and associated with fracture of metacarpal bones. The dislocation can be missed to diagnosis, so careful examination and attention should be need. H/O Fall, blow or RTA are predisposing causes. Young male persons are more affected. Average age 30 years of 12 reported cases.
