Of the four Bifidobacterium strains examined, the growth rates of B. longum ATCC 15707 T and B. catenulatum ATCC 27539 in the GF 2 medium were higher than those in the GF 3 medium, whereas the growth rate of B. pseudocatenulatum ATCC 27919 T in the GF 2 medium was lower than that in the GF 3 medium.
