In this paper, the valve of the aero engine is taken as the research object, and the curvature mode difference (DI) is introduced as the damage parameter. The valve was processed to different degrees of cracks, the laser vibrometer was used to obtain the modal mode shape before and after the valve damage, and the central difference method was applied to solve the curvature mode value before and after structural damage, and the crack was located by using its difference, and then the damage degree was determined.
