Its main and new characteristic is the ability to consider the presence of interharmonics in addition to harmonics in the voltage at the terminals of DBR due to the background distortion. Analytical expressions able to predict DC voltage and AC current either in time or frequency domains are obtained. Several numerical and experimental tests have been performed showing very accurate results. The proposed model presents all the advantages of analytical models (e.g., fastness); therefore, it can be easily integrated with iterative harmonic and interharmonic analysis procedures.
