本文立足于中国翻译史（1949年以来），结合巴西作家阿马多的作品，分析了阿马多及其作品传入中国的背景，探讨了翻译与权力的关系。豪尔赫·阿马多作品的翻译主要可分为三个重要时期：20世纪50年代、80年代和2010年代，主要表现为权力对翻译的操纵。这种操纵在不同的历史时期以不同的形式表现出来，从而产生不同的翻译情境。同时，翻译也对权力产生影响，总的来说，在权力的操纵下，翻译为权力服务。

Translation and political climate: an analysis of the translation of Brazilian writer Jorge Amado’s works in China
