This article reviews the existing literature on AR and its effectiveness as an educational tool for children with special needs, including those with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), intellectual disabilities, etc. The benefits and challenges of using AR in special education and offer suggestions for future research are discussed.
