Editorial: Introduction to the special issue, innovative approaches to visual methods in mixed method research in psychological fields
The use of integrative visual displays to advance analysis is a rapidly evolving topic of inquiry in mixed methods research. This editorial serves dual purposes. The first is to introduce articles appearing in a special issue about visual methods in Methods in Psychology. The second is to introduce two cutting edge examples of the use of dynamic visual displays as a mixed analytical strategy. The article concludes with an argument that a separate set of guidelines are needed for using visual displays for purposes of analysis from those generated for purposes of reporting.
