The species description is supplemented with molecular information in the form of 18S rRNA and partial CO1 gene sequences. Additionally, the phylogenetic relationships among 15 parabathynellid genera from Europe, America, Australia, India, Thailand, Vietnam, and South Korea are inferred on the basis of 18S rRNA sequences.
