TÜBİTAK Ortaokul Öğrencileri Araştırma Projelerinin Bilimsel Danışmanlık Süreci Yönetimi: Fen Bilimleri Örneği

The purpose of this study is to examine the scientific consultancy process and development of science teachers in project preparation with the Project-based learning approach for the TÜBİTAK Secondary School Students Research Projects Competition. The research was designed as action research with 2 science teachers and 11 students in a private school in the 2017-2018 academic year. The data of the research was collected with teacher pre-knowledge form, researcher diary and notes, video records, student project reports. Findings of teachers' opinions on action plans were obtained. Findings of the effects of action plans on student activities were gathered. As a result of the research, itwas concluded that teachers had difficulty in project preparation, main project preparation, topic setting, report writing, time, material and school management. For this reason, it is recommended to organize scientific consultancy training programs to provide a quality input for teachers who will consult in scientific research projects to make the process more qualified.
