One Event, Two Narratives: The First Period Hadith About the Marriage of the Prophet and Maymuna with or without Ihram and its Reflection on Sects
Hadith narration is an important touchstone in the formation of Islamic thought in general and the science of hadith in particular. Understanding the hadith transmission logic in the first two centuries will contribute to Islamic sciences and hadith. The subject of the study is the rumors about the marriage of a person with ihram. Its purpose is to deal with the logic of the first period of narration in the context of the effects and results of the narrators on the hadith transmission.
There are contradictory narrations that the Maymuna (r.a.) and Hz. Prophet got married with and without ihram. The narrations of Ibn Abbas, which were determined from the sources, were authentic, Yazid b. The narrations of Esam and Abu Rafi' are hasen and weak. The reasons for the transmission of the rumors are the investigations and conflict on the subject. This situation was also reflected in the narration texts through the narrators. Words and emphases have come to the fore that the marriage is made with ihram on one side and without ihram on the other. Companions continued in the dimension of sects after the conflict at the subordinate level, and scholars generally used the arguments of the first period to prove their views.
