Ignotas Domeika, 1802–1889), while emphasising the contribution of his son, Rev. Hernán Domeyko (1859–1931), towards the dissemination of this cult. The history and iconography of the image, as well as the development of the veneration tradition in Santiago de Chile and the Vilnius Archdiocese is explored.
