EnglishThe Constituent Assembly that sanctioned the Argentine Constitution of 1949 during the Peronist government, so ephemeral as it was inaugural of numerous economic, social, cultural and especially labor rights, came to propose a dialogue channel until that very novel moment, and that included the possibility of nuclear the concrete proposals and requests coming from the civil society of that time. We will not stop to analyze the foundations and historical-political justification of the Magna Carta, but it is our intention to dedicate ourselves to a fundamental right requested by numerous petitions, and that was ignored in equal measure both by the Assembly and by the final text of the Constitution: the right to strike. We will make a brief tour of the state of the discussion at that time, and then stop at requests that in our opinion are illustrative of the social climate of the time regarding this right.
