Therefore to measure productivity and efficiency of Yanmar's diesel engine this study will use quantitative productivity measurements. The variables that will be analyzed in productivity measurement are inputs (purchase) in this case component purchasing, and output (sales) in this case in the form of sales of Yanmar diesel engines. All measurements are carried out within a certain period of time which includes labor costs, maintenance and energy. Sales and purchases are one of the dominant factors to determine the level of productivity and efficiency of a product other than the other supporting factors, labors and capital.
