Mariposas Acraeini (Lepidoptera: Nymphalidae: Heliconiinae) del Departamento de Santander, Andes nororientales de Colombia
Butterflies Acraeini (Lepidoptera: Nymphalidae: Heliconiinae) of Santander Department, northeastern Andean of Colombia. The limited and fragmented information existing for the Colombian northeast, and particularly on the Lepidoptera order, led to the revision of the material deposited in the Entomological Collection of Regional Autonomous Corporation for Defense of Bucaramanga Plateau – CDMB. The review of the butterflies of tribe Acraeini collected in river basins of the Characterization Project of the CDMB jurisdiction area is presented. A total of 219 specimens grouped in 10 species of the genera Abananote Potts, 1943, Altinote Potts, 1943 and Actinote Hübner, [1819] were examined. The synopsis of the species is A. hylonome, A. neleus, A. stratonice, A. eresia, A. dicaeus, A. anteas, A. latior, A. callianthe, A. pellenea and A. trinacria. The analysis of inventory quality estimated a potential richness of 11.36 species, which indicates that could be registered one or two more species for the area. We made the first records for the Santander Department of A. stratonice, A. latior, A. anteas, A. pellenea, y A. trinacria, which contributes to the knowledge and better understanding of the entomofauna of this region of Colombia

期刊介绍:
Graellsia was fist published in 1943 and the journal name honours Mariano de la Paz Graells. For 44 years the journal was devoted to Iberian entomology, but in 1987 it started publishing papers on zoology in general. More recently, Graellsia has restricted its scope and currently publishes original and unpublished papers on Zoological Diversity, including taxonomic, faunistic, biogeographic, chorological, evolutionary and conservation studies. Notes, news and book reviews are also published in the corresponding sections. Formerly Graellsia was published by CSIC with financial support from the Ministry. When this financial support for spanish scientific journals ceased, Sociedad de Amigos del Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales stepped in to take care of journal edition, with the goal of contributing to the advance of knowledge in Zoology.
