Aminoglucoside/Imidazole in the Treatment of Acanthamoeba Keratitis
Acanthamoeba Keratitis (AK) is an infrequent corneal infection caused by free living amoeba, it is frequently
misdiagnosed and medically/surgical treated with low or no response in advanced cases. In this paper we present five
cases of AK with early diagnoses and good response to aminoglucoside/imidazole treatment and achieving acceptable
final visual acuity in each case.
