We conducted a review of systematic reviews and meta-analyzes in PubMed up to 4 June 2019. A total of 23 articles were identified, of which 3 were finally selected for this review. The quality of the included studies was high (AMSTAR-2). The HIIT presented significant improvements in aerobic capacity in this population. The HIIT with duration between 7-12 weeks and intensity higher than 90% HRpeak - 80% VO2peak reported greater improvements in aerobic capacity.
