The article identifies the main conditions for economic development, which play a decisive role in ensuring the economic security of Azerbaijan. This article attempts to determine the essence of the current level of economic devel- opment of both the global and national economies of Azerbaijan, to identify the impact of this development on ensuring information security. It is noted that the development of the world economy as a whole is associated with the nature of glo-balization. For this, the main trends of economic development, the role of information and communication technologies, the possibilities of establishing an information security system based on the conditions of economic development are analyzed. Thanks to the economic policy pursued during the years of independence, Azerbaijan has managed to form an economic base for information security, which can be seen in such areas as a steadily rising standard of living, developed economic infrastructure, the information society, active international trade relations, etc. Information exchange has expanded in all areas. A legal framework has been formed to ensure information security. The possibilities of information interaction at the level of the international legal framework are determined.
