El vinculo cine – ciudad, sirve como pretexto para observar ademas otros espacios habitados por las diversas clases sociales que confluian en capital mexicana durante la primera mitad del siglo XX. EnglishThrough the analysis of film, documentary and graphic sources, the present work focuses on the presence and narrative function of the Aleman President Urban Center (CUPA), a majestic architectural work designed by Mario Pani that transformed the concept of popular housing in Mexico and Latin America, in six fiction feature films directed between 1950 and 1956 by: Emilio Fernandez, Luis Bunuel, Ismael Rodriguez, Alejandro Galindo, Emilio Gomez Muriel and Benito Alazraki.
