This study examined the association between perceptions of the availability of heterosexual male partners (sex ratio) and heterosexual Black women's attitudes and experiences with concurrent sexual partnerships. We found that perceptions of a high sex ratio (more men relative to women) were positively associated with attitudes towards concurrent sexual partnerships and prevalence of sexual concurrency.
