Firstly, SAO structure is extracted from selected patents, secondly, the similarity between patents is calculated based on extracted SAO structure, thirdly, patent network and patent map are drawn based on calculated patent similarity matrix, technology evolution process and future trends of industrial robot are summarized from patent network, and future potential technology opportunities are predicted based on technological vacancies identified from patent map.
