EDM is one of the most important methods being used currently for successful machining of advanced materials of modern era. Modern industrial technology has helped in the use of advanced materials such as composites, ceramics and super alloys. Aluminium Metal matrix composites are one of the important types of Metal matrix composite (MMC) being used for maximum products due to its availability and cost effectiveness. AMMC has found a vast range of application in the automobile industries, and defense due to better and multiple functional characteristics like good thermal conductivity, low density, greater wear resistance, more specific strength and stiffness.
