This article specifically advances a comparatist analysis of the critical phenomenologies of nudity, truth, and social space by two trans thinkers: Marlene Wayar, an Argentine social psychologist and activist, and Talia Mae Bettcher, a Canadian philosopher and activist based in Los Angeles. Pichon-Rivière argues that a core difference between their approaches stems from different geopolitical and disciplinary regimes of visibility and that these paradigms are not as incompatible as they might seem at first glance.
