This design was selected due to this present study was required a concrete evidence whether Snake and Ladder Board Game could enhance students’ vocabulary mastery in senior high school or not. In this study the instruments used were pre-test, treatment, and post-test. The pre-test was given to both experimental and control group. After the pre-test was given to both groups, then the experimental group was treated or taught by using snake and ladder board game, while the control group was not treated by using snake and ladder board game. After that, the post-test was also given to both experimental and control group. The researcher used t-test to know the significant difference between the mean score of the experimental and control group. The process of t-test was counted using computer SPSS 17 version.The result of this study was shown that snake and ladder board game could improve students’ vocabulary mastery due to the score of pre-test in control group was higher than the pre-test score of experimental group. Otherwise, the post-test score of experimental group was higher than the control group. 摘要

词汇是语言资源,学生必须掌握词汇才能产生句子。因此,本研究的目的是了解蛇梯板游戏是否能提高学生的词汇掌握率。本研究分析的受试者是SMA Muhammadiyah I的十年级学生。实验组为X-IPS-I,对照组为X-IPS-II。本研究采用定量研究设计。之所以选择这个设计,是因为本研究需要一个具体的证据来证明蛇梯板游戏是否能提高学生在高中的词汇掌握能力。在这项研究中,使用的仪器包括测试前、治疗和测试后。实验组和对照组均进行了预测试。两组均进行预测后,实验组采用蛇梯板游戏进行治疗或教学,对照组不采用蛇梯牌游戏进行治疗。之后,实验组和对照组也进行了后验。研究人员使用t检验来了解实验组和对照组的平均得分之间的显著差异。t检验过程采用SPSS 17软件统计。研究结果表明,由于对照组的前测成绩高于实验组,蛇梯板游戏可以提高学生的词汇掌握率。除此之外,实验组的测试后得分高于对照组。因此,根据本实验研究的结果,研究人员得出结论,蛇梯板游戏可以提高高一学生的词汇掌握率。
