Career planning is something related to the construction of future designs that can be planned in advance. Planning includes goals and stages to achieve the intended career goals so that they can be realized through appropriate career decisions. Potential and resources are two important aspects among adolescent that underlie decisions in the career guidance and counseling services that delivered by school counselor. This article uses the literature review method to elaborate factors that have a significant effect on students' (adolescent) career planning; the concept of the right career decision; and teacher guidance and counseling efforts to improve the effectiveness of career counseling and guidance services. Career planning and decisions are recommended as a vital subject in order to prepare students in the 4.0 industrial revolution. The 21st Century competencies are important aspects that should be integrated in the BK Career services provided to be relevant to the demands of various jobs that are constantly developing.
