His reflections on Didactics of History announced a new paradigm for the research nature of learning and teaching History which is characterized the field of History Education. Based on these assumptions, the perspective of research in the field of History Education, which has been carried out in Brazil has been taken as an object of analysis , indications of this renewal, which suggest an articulation between the references of History as science and the educational research. This articulation indicates what the historians do when they researching History teaching. Results, although partial, indicate several issues to be taken into account with regard to research on learning History of children and young people, whether in a school environment or other learning environments.
