Edilicia, práctica y memoria del poder señorial. El caso de Fernando de Antequera, Leonor de Alburquerque y sus herederos en la Castilla Bajomedieval

The present article surveys the role of the architectural projects developed by the aristocracy within the urban areas under its dominium in late medieval Castile. These projects are considered as part of a discourse of execution and representation of manorial power and of the configuration of «places of memory» around the manorial property and its holders opposite to the dominated communities and the entirety of the political society of the realm. It considers the evolution of said structures, the resignification or destruction of the memory linked to it and the involvement of the local elite in this symbolic manorial discourse.
