Moreover, it will be analysed the role of compliance as a practical procedure tool to prevent money laundering in exchangers activities and how the current legislation in Spain already promotes that, as the current criminal law extinguishes responsibility of legal persons who demonstrate an effective compliance program if they fulfil all requisites. Hence, this paper will be able to make a comprehensive study on exchangers, who they are and what are their activities as regulated in Spain’s legal framework.
