This study uses the effectiveness theory of interpersonal communication from Devito (1986). This research method uses qualitative research methods with a phenomenological study approach. Research informants were 5 (five) librarians who worked in the UINSU library and 9 (nine) library users and through purposive sampling. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use thematic analysis. Data triangulation was carried out to 9 (nine) students of UINSU Medan. The results showed that UINSU Medan library librarians had effective interpersonal communication found in several components, namely: 1) Verbal and Nonverbal Communication, 2) Openness, 3) Receiving Input, 4) Hospitality, 5) Empathy, 6) Support , 7) Familiarity, 8) Positive Thinking, 9) Respect. 摘要

研究目的是对棉兰大学图书馆员与图书馆人际交往进行分析。本研究采用了Devito(1986)的人际沟通有效性理论。本研究方法采用定性研究方法和现象学研究方法。通过有目的的抽样调查,研究对象是在南苏大学图书馆工作的5名图书管理员和9名图书馆用户。通过观察、访谈和文件收集数据的技术。数据分析技术使用主题分析。对棉兰大学9名学生进行数据三角剖分。结果表明,南大棉兰图书馆馆员的有效人际沟通表现在以下几个方面:1)语言和非语言沟通,2)开放,3)接受输入,4)热情好客,5)共情,6)支持,7)熟悉,8)积极思考,9)尊重。障碍发生在误解,缺乏敏感性,在图书馆缺乏信息指导。
