However studies to date have reported inconsistent findings regarding the association between the variable number tandem repeat (VNTR) and T941G polymorphisms and schizophrenia. In an attempt to clarify this inconsistency we conducted a meta‐analysis based on both alleles and genotypes (up to February 2006).
