Non-coding RNAs (ncRNAs), including long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs) and microRNAs (miRNAs), are encoded of RNAs that are transcribed but not translated into proteins, which are involved in diverse developmental and cellular processes in eukaryotic organisms. Research during the past decade has identified factors participating in the regulation of ncRNAs biogenesis and function.
