Our results showed that the 5T variation was a risk factor of CBAVD in French, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, Iranian, Indian, Mexican and Egyptian populations. CFTR ΔF508 was another important risk factor in Caucasians, including Slovenians, Canadians, Iranians, and Egyptians.
