The US Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is helping transform HIT as part of health reform efforts. Each DHHS agency participates in ways that are increasingly transparent. The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) contributes through performance measurement and reporting activities.
