Latéralisation du nerf alvéolaire inférieur à visée préimplantaire

The inferior alveolar nerve remains an anatomical obstacle for implant insertion in the posterior part of the mandible. Inferior alveolar nerve lateralisation allows new implant-borne prosthetic alternatives, after a careful radiological check-up and for an adapted prosthetic project, for removable and fixed prostheses. We present the infra-alveolar nerve lateralisation technique, its indications and contra-indications. This technique completes the armamentarium of surgical techniques for the correction of inferior molar edentulism.

Le nerf alvéolaire inférieur demeure un des obstacles anatomiques à la mise en place d’implants en zone mandibulaire postérieure. À partir d’un bilan radiographique rigoureux et dans un projet prothétique adapté, la latérisation du nerf dentaire offre de nouvelles possibilités implanto-prothétiques tant dans le cadre de prothèses amovibles que de prothèses fixes. Nous présenterons la technique, ses indications et contre-indications. Cette méthode complète l’arsenal chirurgical du traitement de l’édentement postérieur inférieur.
