Significant differences ( P <0. 05) were observed among the three group; there was a significant differences in the expression of MMP-2 among the different pathologic degree I , II , III; no significant difference in the expression of MMP-2 between lymphoid metastasis and no lymphoid metastasis ( P >0. 05); Age and clinical stage did not change the expressions of the MMP-2 expression ( P <0. 05).</p><p><strong>Conclusion: </strong>MMP-2 probably plays an important role in the carcinogenesis and progression of LSCC.
