Additional assessment factors used to evaluate the lymphadenopathy include the anatomic location, node characteristics, associated symptoms, medical and social history, and comprehensive physical examination fundings. Infectious diseases that cause generalized lymphadenopathy include HIV disease, toxoplasmosis, secondary syphilis, and tuberculosis.
