This was held in Sweden in April 1998 and ended in an agreement to launch a Decade of Bone and Joint from 2000 to 2010. The aims of the Decade will be to raise awareness of the suffering and cost to society of musculoskeletal disorders such as joint diseases, osteoporosis, spinal disorders and severe trauma, and encourage research and development throughout the world.</p>","PeriodicalId":75404,"journal":{"name":"Acta orthopaedica Scandinavica.
