These experiments showed that HOPA inhibited abnormal hyperactivity induced by methamphetamine (MAP) but did not inhibit ICSS which is considered with respect to physiological motivations. On the other hand, haloperidol (HAL) markedly inhibited both ICSS and abnormal hyperactivity induced by MAP.
